Ayaz Amir Political and Journalist Career
- Ayaz Aamir was earlier a part of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), after which he joined PML-N. He left PPP in the late 80s.
- In 1997 he was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab
- He left PML-N in 1998 and rejoined the party in 2002.
- He stood as a candidate in the 2008 Pakistani general elections and was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan from constituency NA-60 Chakwal. A lot of votes came in his favor in this election, which broke the record of more than 125,000 votes.
- In 2013, he applied for a PML-N ticket but he did not get the ticket and after that, he left PML-N.
