Pratap began his career with the Malayalam movie Aaravam in 1978 and also Lorry & Chamaram in 1979 which was a hit in the Malayalam film industry. Prathap has a career spanning more than 100 movies and has also been awarded a National Award.
Prathap Pothen died on 15 July 2022 because of Cardiac Arrest at his home in Chennai’s Kilpauk on Friday morning.
