Fathers are superheroes, who help our families physically and financially healthy. Father’s Day is a holiday honoring fatherhood and paternal bonds. It’s a celebration honoring them. In India, Father’s Day is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of June. In 2022 we celebrate father’s day on 19 June. In Catholic countries of Europe, father’s day is celebrated on March 19 as Saint Joseph’s Day.
Why We Celebrated Father’s Day?
Fathers day is an honorable day and also a holiday that is dedicated to all fathers. This was founded in the US by one Sonora Smart Dodd. Sonora was the daughter child of her father. Her father was a civil war veteran, William Jackson Smart who was one of six children who was raised by her single father from Arkansas. She had heard about how Anna Jarvis had created Mother’s Day in honor of her mother and shared also wanted to honor and acknowledge the role of her father on her father William’s birth anniversary, which occurred on June 5.
This date was pushed, and the marked celebration was eventually deferred to the third Sunday of June because for the minister to prepare, the date suggested by Sonora was too soon, so he presented it a few weeks later on June 19. Father’s Day started to happen on the third Sunday of June.
