Balamani Amma was an Indian poet based in the Malayalam literature known as who is called ‘Poetess of motherhood’, and also by her nicknames including Kudumbini, Dharmamarathil, Sri Hridayam, Prabhanakuram, Bhavanayil, Onjalinmel, Kalikkotta, Velichathil. Balamani was born in the Thrissur district of Kerala on 19 July 1909. and lost her life on 29 September 2004 at the age of 95. She has written more than 20 prose.
